African Violets are small plants, usually growing between 6 to 15cm tall, and 6 to 30cm wide. The leaves are oval to rounded in shape, and have fine hairs on them. The flowers grow in small groups on fine stalks, and have five petals. They usually appear in shades of purple, ranging from bluey to violet, although they can also be white.
The African Violet is associated with protection; grow one in your home to protect all within it. It will also promote spirituality.
African Violets are wonderful houseplants, being very easy to grow, care for and propagate.
